I was asked to help teach some paper crafts for the Adult Basic Education class at the Center. These are adults who weren’t able to complete their primary education, but with the Center’s help, are able to complete their basic education. They meet in the evenings throughout the week.
Care of the environment was the theme of October, so for a monthly activity the teachers wanted to do something with recycling. I’ve been working some with recycled crafts and paper-making, so I came with a couple of ideas. We made box chains (as seen above) and magazine-beads. Everyone did a great job. It was a fun evening!
