“Marta y Mamerto”
A drama performed by a group of youth from the Center, most recently for a group of local elementary students. This work reverses the stereotypical gender-roles by placing a woman as an abusive and controlling spouse who brings in the money, and the man as the caretaker of the house and children. Funny and thought-provoking, especially in a context where gender-roles are still very stereotyped and culturally-enforced. Well done to the youth, and Katya Erazo Ramos (director and on staff in Artistic Promotion here at the Center)!
